Oregon Festivals and Annual Events

Roses, Shakespeare, pinot noir, rodeo and holiday boats on the rivers.

Summer is festival season in Oregon, when dry weather brings concerts, fairs and rodeos outdoors. The Portland Rose Festival, held since 1907, is the biggest civic celebration, with parades, a waterfront carnival and visiting Navy ships. Wine country hosts celebrations of pinot noir, and eastern Oregon's Pendleton Round-Up is one of the country's best-known rodeos.

The rest of the year has its own events, from winter seafood festivals on the coast to theater in Ashland. Dates change each year, so confirm with organizers before you plan around one.
